Lawrence Ruppel is Vice President, Commercial Counsel for Chicago Title’s Pittsburgh National Commercial Services (NCS) operation. Prior to joining Chicago Title in 1993, Larry worked as a branch attorney/underwriter for Lawyers Title and worked as an Associate at a Pittsburgh law firm concentrating in general real estate matters and title insurance. As an attorney in the Pittsburgh NCS, Larry provides technical and legal support to Company personnel and customers in the underwriting and settlement of complex, high liability real estate transactions. He ensures compliance with Company escrow and underwriting policies, procedures and authority requirements including facilitating and coordinating the use of all Company resources and expertise as might be required or necessary. Larry also assists with business development, office marketing initiatives and presentations believing strongly that the best way to maintain and foster customer relationships is through direct personal contact.

Our philosophy in Pittsburgh is simple - best in class customer service provided by experienced, hard-working employees results in customer satisfaction, loyalty and repeat business. There’s no secret to our success, just hard work and dedication to the customer.

Larry takes pride in the fact that he has assisted in the development of a commercial title office staffed with seasoned personnel who possess a “customer first” attitude and a strong commitment to efficient and responsive service. They also take pride as a group knowing that some of the same customers who were working with the office twenty years ago remain loyal customers today.

Lawrence was accepted to the Company’s Leadership Program in 2012. He serves as a member of both the Pennsylvania Land Title Association and Allegheny County Bar Association.

Lawrence received his JD from Duquesne University School of Law in 1988 and his BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lori, and daughter, Maggie.
